A Trusted and Experienced Leader

My name is Jacob Greenberg, and I’m running for re-election for Blaine County Commissioner, District 2. I moved to the Wood River Valley with my wife and two sons in 1982 to work for ScottUSA as a Financial Analyst. Later, I began my own company called Financial and Accounting Management Company servicing a broad range of clients. During that time, my wife and I owned and operated the Western Café, developed property in West Ketchum and managed a large development project in Sun Valley known as Crown Ranch. Since then, we owned and operated Shorty’s Diner, and recently sold it to our son and his business partner.

I am in my eighth year as a County Commissioner. Some of my accomplishments include successful guidance through the pandemic, safely re-opening of our economy, creation of an Office of Sustainability and Resilience, resolution of Emergency Communications negotiation, advancing Public Defense in-house, providing the resources necessary to effect 60 affordable housing units and introduction of tax exemption for businesses state statute 63-602NN.

I’ve been married to my wife, Jeanne, for 47 years. I have two sons; one lives in Hailey and the other is hoping to relocate back to the Wood River Valley soon. It is wonderful to have my family, including my grandson (age 5), live in Hailey. I love to cook and share my creations on social media. I enjoy biking, skiing, and hiking, and sometimes, you might even see me riding my Vespa around Old Hailey.

I sit on the following boards, committees and commissions:
